Expanding our team…

Who remembers our earlier blog - “Love letter to our future team”?

Well, we are delighted to say that our letter worked…welcome to our new team members - Aland Manurung, Eilís O’Keefe and Melanie Martin!

Kita welcomes three new team members

Aland Manurung is our Above Ground Biomass Analyst. He is an environmental geoscientist who focuses on carbon monitoring using satellite images. Aland is experienced in building land use models and using Geographic Information System for environmental changes and he will be helping us build the core data for our insurance products.

Eilís O’Keefe and Melanie Martin are our first summer interns.

Eilís is an Environmental Management for Business MSc student at Cranfield University, and is working with us to analyse the the voluntary carbon market, specifically comparing the ‘built-in’ insurance mechanisms of a range of carbon removal schemes and codes from around the world.

Melanie is receiving her masters in environmental law and policy from UCL after four years as an associate at Clyde & Co LLP, specialising in investment treaty arbitration and international commercial arbitration, with a particular focus on European and Latin American cross-border disputes. She is working with Kita to analyse the shifting law and policy environment within the voluntary carbon markets.

We were hugely gratified by the amount of applicants we had, and the quality and passion of the people we spoke with. Aland, Eilís and Melanie are exceptional and we are honoured to have the opportunity to work with them.
